Portland Surprise Wedding Proposal with Spotted Stills Photography

It started out with a fun couples Bridal Styled shoot and ended up with Nick proposing to Carlie.

Jen with Spotted Stills Photography was right there to capture this one in a lifetime memory for this sweet couple.

I absolutely loved created this modern ranunculus and textured floral crown. Although I design a lot of floral crowns and wearable hair accents {aka head wreath, halo, floral combs} this one was a top favorite for 2019. It was inspired by the stunning detailing on this gown from BHLDN / Brides for a Cause Portland.

It was fun incorporated a small pop of coral-orange-bronze tones into the bridal bouquet as a nod to fall/October.

Oregon Columbia River Gorge Elopement with Rue Photography

I am loving the sunset images Rue Photography took at the Columbia River Gorge.

Although it was a cold fall day the images look soft and warm based on Rue’s editing style and the warm color palette of Trisha’s bouquet.

Trisha happens to be a hair and make up stylist and did her own hair and make up here. I love the loose and organic style of the braid.

The dry pods, preserved grassed and textures are truly making a huge comeback right now in the world of weddings and design. Its a perfect boho element for the bride who is looking for a minimalist yet impactful and unique design.

Bridal bouquet consisted of lunaria, pampas grass, eucalyptus, wax flower, bronze ferns, hypericum, roses, bunny tails, magnolia leaves, ranunculus, garden roses and more. Accented with mustard yellow silk ribbons that blew softly in the wind.

The absolutely gorgeous lace gown was from Bridal Exclusives. I always have a soft spot for them, since this is where I purchased my own gown from 14 years ago.

Columbia River Gorge Sunrise Shoot with Simpler Images Photography

This was a fun collaboration with one of my favorite Portland area Models -Alexandra Hagel.

Simpler Images Photography captured some beautiful shots. The early sunrise, fog and the cool colors provided a beautiful backdrop to this ethereal look.

The lace gown was a perfect way to accessorize this boho styled look.

I used the last of the season’s purple dahlias, paired with berries, garden roses, succulents, seedum and silver dollar eucalyptus, accented with a soft flowy ribbon.

Its Spring time and local peonies are finally in season again.

That means its time for a fun impromptu sunrise shoot with Liza James Photography and Estera at the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

Peonies, spray roses, agapanthus, spirea, ruscus, bayleaf and olive- make up this fun boho style bridal bouquet. Its lightweight, airy and effortlessly beautiful.

Portland Spring Couples Shoot with Spotted Stills Photography

I absolutely loved created this ranunculus floral crown. Although I design a lot of floral crowns {aka head wreath, halo} this one tops the list of my all time favorites. Luxurious Italian Ranunculus, roses, jasmine vine and texture in blush, white and green compliments this dusty mauve dress very well.

Celebrating 10 Years of Marriage and Flowers

Its not often that I get out of my comfort zone and get in front of the camera, especially featuring my own floral designs. But to commemorate 10 years in the business as well as 10 years of being married to my wonderful husband; who is my rock and I could not do what I do with out his full support and encouragement. We decided to do a photo shoot with one of my favorite photographers Jenn from Spotted Stills Photography.

This was a perfect way to celebrate our marriage and floral design together in one. We are lucky to live right down the road from this nature park, a perfect spot for a mini photo shoot. This being Oregon, it started to sprinkle during our shoot; but we did not let the rain stop us.

A huge shout out to Janelle from The Prettiest You/Contoured Salon for fitting me in at the last minute for make up. Its always a pleasure to work with you.

I loved my dress by LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls, it was very stylish and comfy.

My bouquet and floral crown featured some of my favorite blooms in mauve, blush pink, peach and gray tones. Blushing Bride Protea, Astrantia, Pieris, Spray Roses, Carnations and Dusty Miller from my own yard.
