Floral Crowns-flowers to wear {Part 3 of 5}

Going right along, this is Flower Crowns -part 3 of 5. Truly so many amazing options out where when it comes to flowers for your hair. 

Those blush pink floral crowns featured mini roses and dendrobium orchid blooms, so elegant and just perfect for this formal wedding.  Photo by Mosca Studio Photography

This floral crown is one of my personal favorites. Its small and dainty, yet very intricate and detailed. It features nigella pods, piers, ilex berry, succulents, plumosa, string of pearls and straw flower.

This lovely purple floral crown was designed for a June wedding. It consists of lavender, chrysanthemums, mini roses, eryngium, blueberries, nigella pods, seeded eucalyptus and plumosa fern.

This rustic/country themed flower girl floral crown is designed with two types of feverfew daisies.

Floral Crowns-flowers for the hair {Part 2 of 5}

Continuing on with part 2 of 5 on gorgeous floral crowns. I really enjoy designing those pieces. They can be small, delicate and casual or large, elaborate and truly a show stopper! There is no end to creativity.

White winter floral crown consists of ranunculus, dendrobium orchids, cedar and juniper berries 

Coral floral crown includes spray roses, willow eucalyptus, ranunculus, hypericum and larkspur 

I love how this crown resembles spring cherry blossoms. This is pink leptospermum and smilax. 

This lush full garden style flower crown is designed with peach David Austin Juliette garden roses, smilax, lavender, peach spray roses and wax flower

This variation includes pink leptospermum instead of lavender 

This fall colored floral crown includes red spray roses, rose hips, ranuculus, nandina, willow eucalyptus, leucadendron 

Last but now least, this wispy floral crown is created with pink wax flower 

Floral Crowns-flowers for the hair {Part 1 of 5}

Floral Crowns are the perfect accessory for girls of all ages. 

They are so popular and I have created them for weddings, photo shoots, maternity photos, bridal showers, Birthdays, Proposals and many other special occasions. 

I have quite a few to share, so I will make several blog posts to feature crowns. This is Part 1 of 5.

This lovely green flower crown was one of the three crowns designed for an editorial piece with Kimberly Orth Photography and Brian Pasko Photography. It features a lot fun textural elements including succulents, blackberries, lisimachia, scabiosa, rosemary and seeded eucalyptus.

Pantone "Marsala" Burgundy-Red color inspiration

When Pantone named "Marsala" as their 2015 color of the year, I was excited to see a bolder color palette. 

I love how Marsala works very well with the blush tones to add that pop of color. 

Here are some designs I created using this color palette. 

Bridal bouquet consisted of the beautiful red piano garden roses, red intuition roses {love their velvety petals with unique markings on them}, chocolate queen annes lace, blackberries, ranunculus, sweet william, leptospermum, gilded agonis, plumosa, maidenhair, pieris and anemone.

I am loving those red piano garden roses and red intuition roses in this mini gold vase arrangement. This would make a perfect accent for a small cocktail/bistro table.

Spring Flower inspiration for a Peach/Coral Wedding

Here are some beautiful examples of floral bouquets and centerpiece in peach/coral color palette for your spring wedding. This color combination continues to be a popular choice for brides this year. 

This Garden style Bridal Bouquet includes Garden roses, lilac, anemone, poppies, ranunculus, sweet peas, maindenhair fern, larkspur, eucalyptus and hyacinth. Tied with champagne colored satin ribbon.  All of the flowers used in those designs are 100% American Grown; specifically from California and Oregon.

Beth + Erik - Open Door Baptist Church Troutdale, Oregon

Beth and Erik got married the week of Valentine's Day 2014, its hard to believe but we had a small snow storm that week. This late in the winter, its pretty unusual for the Portland metro area. 

With snow on the ground and all, I was still able to capture Beth's love for bold beautiful colors. I had full creative freedom to design the flowers as long as they included a bright color palette. 

Beth's bouquet consisted of some of my favorite blooms. Garden roses, lisianthus, stock, wax flower, queen annes lace, parrot tulips, berzelia, cymbidium orchids, ranunculus and maidenhair fern.  I was very happy to be able to design with all seasonal flowers, locally sourced and 100% American Grown.

Alexandra + Clay - Villa Catalana Cellars -Oregon City, OR

Alexandra wanted a spring bouquet in lavender and peach tones.

Her bridal bouquet included locally grown fresh lavender, peonies, sweet peas, stock, succulents and sweetheart roses. The fragrance was absolutely divine and all the flowers used were 100% American Grown.

Sara + Jared -St Marys Cathedral/Barn Wedding Reception

Sara wanted a classic all white wedding flowers including roses, garden roses and hydrangea.

This was probably the hottest wedding weekend in July at almost 100 degrees. None the less, the flowers looked fresh and fabulous. 

The ceremony took place at St. Mary's Cathedral in Downtown Portland.

Reception was at a beautiful barn in Boring, Oregon owned by a family friend.

I can't say no when one of my favorite photographers asks me to collaborate on a photo shoot.

This was one of my all time favorite shoots. I got the full creative freedom to design and style all the floral and decor elements.

The overall look and feel was rustic -elegance with a large emphasis on garden style.

Katie + Brian -The Resort at the Mountain Wedding

Katie and Brian had the most gorgeous wedding in red "marsala" with gold and champagne accents. What a way to stay ahead of trends ;)

I really enjoyed working with all the fun textures and flowers to bring out the rustic elegance of this wedding. The Resort at the Mountain was the most perfect back drop for this event. 

I was honored that Katie totally trusted me to create her florals with just a color palette for inspiration and I took care of the rest of the details and all floral choices. 

Katie's bouquet included piano garden roses, hearts garden roses, cymbidium orchids in white and red, hypericum berries, eryngium, dahlias, scabiosa and scabiosa pods, sahara roses, caramel antike garden roses and blackberries. 

The two Flower girls carried birch cone with flowers and birch basket with petals. 

Table centerpieces were designed in our beautiful wine boxes.

Cory + Tyson -The Oregon Golf Club Wedding

Another set of gorgeous purple flowers, this time for a winter wedding at the Oregon Golf Club.

Cory's lush hand-tied bridal bouquet included hydrangea, anemone, ranunculus, trachillium, stock, jasmine vine, carnations {yes carnations can be stunning in unique colors such as purple}. Bouquet was tied with creme colored lace. 

Bridesmaids carried all white bouquets of hydrangea, lisianthus and pieris japonica {aka Andromeda} which really stood out agains the charcoal gray dresses.

Tori+Kenny -The Oregon Golf Club Wedding

I really enjoyed designing this beautiful spring wedding at The Oregon Golf Club. Fresh greens and crisp whites was the perfect color combination for this wedding.

The Bridal bouquet consisted of white peonies, ranunculus, sweet peas, hydrangea, lisianthus, calla lilies, maidenhair fern, trachillium, dianthus and berzelia, and a touch of gray dusty miller. 

This lush bouquet had the most amazing fragrance, absolutely one of my all time favorite designs.

I designed those beautiful floral pieces for an intimate wedding held in Sandy, Oregon.

This wedding featured mostly locally grown flowers from Oregon and California.

Bridal bouquet included mini purple phalaenopsis orchids, spray roses, hyacinth, mint, hydrangea, sweet peas and jasmine vine from my yard.

Flowers for the hair -Oregon Engagement Photo Shoot

I was honored when Becky contacted me with a request to design a custom floral hair comb for her to wear during her engagement shoot with Natalie Puls Photography 

The floral comb was designed with lots of fun textural floral elements including tillandsia {aka air plants}, succulents and brunia berries. 

The photo shoot took place at Smith Rock in Terrebonne, Oregon which is a sentimental location for the couple. 

The last image was taken by me, to show the close up details of this floral piece.

"Lora provided a gorgeous custom air plants floral comb. I sent her an inspiration photo from Style Me Pretty, and she brought the vision to life!
